HOW TO BE HAPPY

It’s not easy to be continually happy, is it? It takes practice and perseverance. It’s an everyday thing. Use it or lose it. No kidding. I have to pump myself up at least once a week. Otherwise, life’s responsibilities become a burden. Like today, I really have to sit down and think how to be happy.

How do you keep yourself happy? I find that a few moments alone, really alone, outside preferably, sunny (bonus) inhaling deep breaths will do the trick for me.

Did you notice? It’s all there, available 24/7 and it’s FREE. It really doesn’t take much and the changes, at least for me, are immediate. I feel more calm and relaxed. Once more, I can face work, the kids, traffic, bill payments etc.

Here are ten more easy tips on keeping happy:
1. Smile
2. Sit up straight
3. Be conscious of your breathing
4. Go for a walk some time during the day
5. Realize that there is always a positive for every negative
6. Eat fresh food
7. Laugh more (try anyways)
8. Dress up, wash your face, comb your hair (you don’t need an occasion)
9. Talk to a friend
10. Do something nice for somebody

That is it for today. And remember take a minute for yourself, happy or not…
